Destination Downtown is a Vision Plan for the long-term future of downtown Meridian, focused on identifying and implementing strategies and opportunities to strengthen Downtown’s role in the Meridian community and Treasure Valley.
Spearheaded by the Meridian Development Corporation, Meridianʼs urban renewal agency, Destination Downtown is a community-driven initiative to establish downtown Meridian as a premier destination, the heart of the community, home of local businesses and the hub of Treasure Valley enterprise, culture and social activities.
This effort is based squarely on a foundation of collaboration. It is a community-authored and community-implemented plan created by business and property owners, city and community leaders, downtown workers and homeowners.
The Destination Downtown Vision Plan is built around four main goals: protecting and promoting Livability, Mobility, Prosperity and Sustainability in Meridianʼs downtown. Within each goal are specific focus areas and individual priority action projects.
